Rooster Painting

This folky mid-to-late 19th C. painting shows two roosters full of character and attitude.  Oil on board, with rich colors, superb condition and in an original shadowbox frame.  Although the board is English, this is a typical American barnyard scene and probably by an American painter.  There is one extremely minor retouch to the grass at the edge of the water.  The image is 9 3/4" x 7 1/4" and the overall size is 14 3/4" x 12"
