Decorated Brides Box

 

This early Bride's box belonged to Mrs. Otto Kloth.  it was given to her in 1925  and was at lest 100 years old (c.1825)  It belonged to her Great-grandmother Schlueter.  Mrs Kloth left another note in 1986 stating the box was 141 years old (c.1845).  There's a 20 year difference but either way it's old.  The box has great color.  it's a dark blue with vibrant flowers.  Note the condition on the lid - a circle water mark and chip on edge.  The box measures 14" by 9" and is 6.5" high.
